Ill Palestinian national released by the Saudi authorities

We're happy to share that Palestinian national Dr Mohammad al Khudari - who had arbitrarily detained by the Saudi authorities with his son, Dr. Hani al-Khudari since April 2019 - has been released by the Saudi authorities.

Please see the note below from the Saudi Team:

«We welcome the release of Palestinian national Dr. Mohammed al-Khudari earlier this month from prison in Riyadh, after spending more than three years in arbitrary detention along with his son, Dr. Hani al-Khudari. Both men were handed down prison sentences by the notorious Specialized Criminal Court based on trumped-up charges. During his detention, Dr Mohammed al-Khudari was denied urgent specialized medical care he required for his cancer.

Unfortunately, Dr. Hani al-Khudari remains in detention despite the expiry of his prison sentence on 28 February 2022 and requires urgent medical care.»

A formal UA update will be shared at the earliest opportunity, continuing to campaign for Dr. Hani al-Khudari’s release.
