Advocate's licence will not be withdrawn
Farid Murtazin has received assurances from the Bar Association that his advocate's licence will not be withdrawn.
Lawyer Farid Murtazin has told Amnesty International that thanks to the over 300 appeals sent to Russia on his behalf he has received informal, but reliable, assurances from the Bar Association (Advokatskaya Palata) that his advocate's licence will not be withdrawn.
He has also been told that further appeals might have negative implications, so he has asked for no more appeals to be sent. He asked for his sincere thanks to be passed on to the network for all the action taken on his behalf.
No further action is requested from the UA network. Many thanks to all who sent appeals.
